Most would choose the second option. This is the reason why gamified learning solutions seem logical; they simulate the real world but at the same time provide a safe place for trial and error.


Furthermore, since the learners consider the format to be less formal, they are likely to lower their defensive mechanisms. This, in turn, makes them take in and implement new ideas more readily, which is, in fact, the ultimate goal.

Interactive learning’s most hidden advantage is, by far, its ability to simplify complicated subjects. Imagine cybersecurity or regulatory compliance issues accompanied by a demand for strong coffee for anyone willing to learn them. These topics, however, when transformed into challenges, missions, or simulations, are taken up by the employees much more quickly.


This is the reason why numerous L&D departments are now adopting the hybrid model of combining simulations with shorter, gamified bursts throughout the year. It allows the skills to be internalised without overloading the learners.
